Legal Guarantee of Conformity
Under EU law (Directive (EU) 2019/771), every product we sell to consumers in the European Union carries a legal guarantee of conformity of two years from delivery. This guarantee is separate from, and in addition to, your 14-day right of withdrawal.
What the guarantee covers
If a piece you receive is defective, is not as described, or does not perform as a garment of its kind reasonably should — for example, a seam that fails under normal wear, embellishment that detaches, or a fabric fault — you are entitled to a remedy from us at no cost to you.
Your remedies
You may first choose between repair and replacement, unless the one you choose is impossible or disproportionately costly compared with the other. Because many of our designs are single atelier runs, replacement of an identical piece may not always be possible — in that case our atelier will repair the piece to standard, and where repair is not possible or fails, you are entitled to a price reduction or a full refund.
The burden of proof
Any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we prove otherwise or the presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or defect. National law may extend this period.
Normal wear and care
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, alterations carried out by third parties, or failure to follow the care instructions supplied with the garment. Fair wear from normal use of delicate occasionwear (for example gradual loosening of hand-applied embellishment over many wears) is assessed reasonably and in your favour where in doubt.
How to make a claim
Contact us at [client care email] or via the WhatsApp concierge with your order number, a description of the fault, and photographs. We will confirm next steps, including return shipping at our cost where the claim is accepted.
Nothing on this page limits any additional rights you may have under the national law of your country of residence, which may be more favourable to you.
